VIEW/DELETE REGISTER OPTION
:
Option to view or delete a register, be it a
recording or a final result. When a recording is displayed only the final result is
shown.
DELETE MEMORY OPTION
:
Option to delete the whole memory. All registers
are deleted.
SENSITIVITY ADJUSTMENT
:
Setting to adjust the sensitivity of the
accelerometers for the HAND-ARM (AC031 Accelerometer), WHOLE BODY
(AC033 Accelerometer) and BUILDINGS (AC032 Accelerometer).
CONTRAST SETTING: Setting to adjust display contrast.
CLOCK SETTING: Setting to adjust the date and time used for measurements
and recordings.
TEST OPTION: Option to display, for every application and every axis, the
RMS value of acceleration with frequency weighting and the RMS value of
acceleration with band-limiting frequency weighting.
Choose the application or setting required with the help of the
and
buttons
and press
to validate.
The main menu also displays:
- At the top of the display: date and time.
- At the bottom of the display: indicator of memory occupied (as a %), the number of
registers contained by the
VC431
with regard to the maximum (256*) and a numerical
identifier of the last recording made.
Note
*: the total number of registers (recording or final result) is limited to 256.
2.3 Verification of the VC431
It is advisable to check the
VC431
before starting a measurement, adjust sensitivity and, if
necessary, check it again after the measurement has been taken.
To check the
VC431
use the vibration calibrator
model
CV211
. It generates up
to 5 vibration magnitudes between 1 and 20 m/s
2
(RMS), and has 7 vibration frequencies
between 15.915 Hz and 1280 Hz.
Refer to the instruction manual to learn how to use the
CV211
vibration calibrator correctly.
Proceed as follows:
1.
Start up the calibrator: pr
ess the “On/Off” button until the calibrator display lights up.
2.
Check battery status.
3.
Wait for a few seconds until the vibration signal stabilises, and the display will show the
vibration magnitude and frequency generated by the calibrator at that moment.
