2.2.2 Main menu of the VC431: Selecting applications, options and
settings
Once the vibrometer is switched on, the main menu or the display of the last application used
will be displayed. If the
VC431 does not display the main menu you can access it by pressing
the button. When the VC431 is in the main menu, the following indication will be
displayed at the bottom left of the display ( ).
The main display presents the following the icons, which correspond to the vibrometer
applications, options or settings:
ICON APPLICATION, OPTION or SETTING
HAND-ARM APPLICATION: Application for measuring the vibration transmitted
to the hand-arm system according to the ISO 5349 Standard, as recommended
by the DIRECTIVE 2002/44/EC.
WHOLE BODY APPLICATION: Application for measuring the vibration
transmitted to the whole body according to the ISO 2632-1 Standard, as
recommended by the DIRECTIVE 2002/44/EC.
BUILDINGS APPLICATION: Application for measuring the vibration
transmitted to the whole body inside buildings (housing, residential, hospital,
educational or cultural) according to the ISO 2632-2 Standard.
STRUCTURE APPLICATION: Application to evaluate the effect of vibration on
the structure of buildings and the terrain, both for short-lasting and stationary
vibrations.
SAVE RESULTS OPTION
:
Option to save the final results in memory, once a
measurement has been taken. (it does not save the time evolution of the
measurement).
MEASUREMENT/RECORDING OPTION
:
Option for switching between
measurement and recording. On accessing an application, the option chosen,
MEASUREMENT or RECORDING, will be available. If you are recording, the
evolution over time and the final results will be saved automatically. If you
choose a measurement no data will be saved
. Although subsequently the final
results can be saved with the SAVE RESULTS option.
