7 Retrofitting

7.1 Removing and fitting the blade guard
The blade guard can be mounted on both sides of the machine. The procedure for the right
side is described in the following handling instructions.
7.1.1
Removing blade guard
Prerequisite:
•
The machine is switched off and secured against accidental switch-on (see Page 108:
Operation > Daily shut-down).
•
The water hose for flushing water is removed from the flushing water connection.
Required:
•
Two spanners (WAF 17)
WARNING
Danger from uncontrolled moving parts.
If the machine starts unexpectedly during set-up, maintenance and repair work, there is
a high risk being injured on the diamond saw blade.
Secure the machine against unexpected start-up before carrying
out set-up, maintenance and servicing work.
Before starting the machine, make sure that no one is working
on the machine or is in the working/danger area.
CAUTION
Danger of injury due caused by the diamond saw blade.
Due to the weight of the diamond saw blade, there is a risk of adverse health effects,
especially in the area of the back. Due to the sharp-edged diamond saw blade, there is
a danger of cutting.
Always wear suitable personal protective equipment:
- Safety gloves (cut protection)
Assemble/disassemble the diamond saw blade with two people.
