9.1 Notes on maintenance and repairs
Safety instructions: Danger of injuries caused by unintentional start-up of the machine!
Unintentional start-up of the machine poses a danger to people. Observe the following
points when performing maintenance on the machine:
•
Only authorised persons are in the area of the machine during maintenance and repair
work.
•
All persons in the area of the machine are familiar with the danger areas of the machine.
•
Actuate the Emergency-Stop switch.
•
Remove the ignition key from the ignition switch.
•
Indicate that maintenance and repair work is being carried out with warning signs.
Safety-conscious, foresighted behaviour of the personnel prevents dangerous situations
during maintenance and repair work.
Generally perform maintenance on all motors and gears in accordance with the
manufacturer’s recommendations. Also check these components for damage.
Replace damaged components immediately in order to ensure the safety of the operating
personnel and the proper operation of the machine!
Monitor and check the safety equipment (Emergency-Stop switches) for proper operation at
regular intervals.
Regularly check the degree of soiling of the entire machine. If necessary, clean the machine
completely.
