Video Merchandiser Setup (continued)
Offline video content:
Media can be played without using a Wi-Fi connection
using MP4, JPG, JPEG and PNG file formats.
1. On a USB drive, create a folder named “
offline
”.
2. Copy desired files to the new “
offline
” folder on
the USB drive.
3. Connect a USB hub to the USB port labeled “
Wi-Fi
Control
” on the underside of the door. (See
diagrams in previous section.)
4. Connect a USB mouse (either wired or wireless) to
the hub.
5. Connect the USB drive to another port in the hub.
6. Stop the Video Merchandiser from playing by
clicking anywhere, and then click on the back arrow
at the bottom of the screen to access the main
screen of the Video Merchandiser.
7. Select the gear-shaped settings icon at the top right
corner. Scroll down to the “
Work Offline
” block
under the “
Connectivity
” block. Slide switch from
“
Off
” to “
On
”. (Scrolling on some mice requires
holding down left mouse button and moving cursor
up.)
8. If you wish to change the default duration of the
slides, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select
the “
Image Play Duration
” setting also under the
“
Embed Mode
” block and change it from 10
seconds to the desired duration.
9. Return to the main screen by clicking the back
arrow at the bottom of the screen. From the main
screen, select “
GO
”. This will trigger the app to copy
the media files to the Radiance unit and will start
playing them as soon as all files are copied.
10. Once the Video Merchandiser plays through all of
the media files, click anywhere so that the media
stops playing.
11. Unplug USB drive.
12. Select “
GO
” then remove USB hub and mouse.
13. Radiance will display the files in alphabetical order.
To replace offline media files:
1. On a USB drive, create a folder named “
offline
”.
2. Copy desired files to the new “
offline
” folder on
the USB drive.
3. Connect a USB hub to the USB port labeled “
Wi-Fi
Control
” on the underside of the door. (See
diagrams in previous section.)
4. Connect a USB mouse (either wired or wireless) to
the hub.
5. Connect the USB drive to another port in the hub.
6. Stop the Video Merchandiser from playing by
clicking anywhere, and then click on the back arrow
at the bottom of the screen to access the main
screen of the Video Merchandiser.
7. From the main screen, select “
GO
”.
8. Wait until the Video Merchandiser plays through all
the media files, and then click anywhere so that the
media stops playing.
9. Unplug USB drive.
10. Select “
GO
” then remove USB hub and mouse.
11. Radiance will display the new files in alphabetical
order.
