Removing the Frame Covers
When any repairs or adjustments of parts within the frame are re-
quired, remove the frame covers in the following procedures.
1. Disassemble the entire system to the main unit set only.
(See [Starting up 1: Let's start with Assembling] of the
Cateye Ergociser Model EC-5000 Operating Instruc-
tions.)
The disassembling procedures should be in the reverse way of
the assembling procedures stated in the Operating Instruc-
tions. You need not remove the rear leg.
2. Remove six fixing screws (three on either side) on the center
cover, and remove the center cover by lifting it upward. (Fig. 1)
3. Remove the inlet cover by loosening four screws. (Fig. 2)
4. Remove 14 screws (7 on either side) on the frame cover. (Fig.
1)
5. Detach the left-side frame cover.
[NOTE]Since the front part of the frame cover engages with
the front leg, the frame cover may be damaged unless it
is detached in the correct direction. As depicted, you
should first tilt the frame frontward, making the engaged
portion being the fulcrum. (Fig. 4)
6. Detach the moles (three parts).
7. Remove the right-side frame cover, paying attention to the
[NOTE] in above procedure 5.
