Safety rules - Hydraulic system maintenance
Hydraulic oil escaping under pressure can penetrate the skin, causing serious injury or infection. To prevent personal
injury: Relieve all pressure before disconnecting fluid lines. Before pressurizing, make sure all connections are tight
and components are in good condition. Never use your hand to check for suspected leaks under pressure. Use a
piece of cardboard or wood for this purpose. If injured by leaking fluid, see your doctor immediately.
When handling lubricants (oil, grease etc.) and other chemical products, always follow instructions for their proper
use.
Use proper containers to collect fluid. Dispose of fluids and filters in a way that protects the environment and complies
with applicable law.
Do not smoke or use an open flame during the servicing procedure. Use eye protection. Do not handle engine coolant,
engine oil or hydraulic oil at temperatures that exceed
49 °C ( 120.2 °F ).
