AC Electrical
System Circuit
Breaker

AC Control Center

If your boat was built for use in Europe, it has an AC

Electrical System circuit breaker located inside the

storage area next to the berth’s headboard in the aft

stateroom. This breaker controls AC power to all of the

AC systems in the boat. Switch this breaker "ON" to

provide power to the AC Control Center.

The AC Control Center, located in a cabinet next to the

salon entertainment center, manages the power supply

to the AC equipment. To provide power to this breaker

panel, first provide a source of AC power to the boat,

either through a shore power connection or the optional

generator. Next, switch "ON" the AC Electrical System

circuit breaker, if it is installed on your boat. The AC

Control Center contains the gauges, switches, and

circuit breakers described below.

Line Voltage (Voltmeter)

The voltmeter indicates the amount of voltage that is

entering the Line 1 or Line 2 part of the AC system,

whichever is selected by the Select Voltage switch,

described below.

When your is boat connected to a shore power source,

the voltmeter should read between 110 and 120 volts in

a 110 volt system or between 210 and 240 volts in a 220

volt system. If the voltmeter reads 105 volts (205 volts

in a 220 volt system) or less, DO NOT USE THE AC

SYSTEM; in this situation, contact the marina's man-

agement to identify and correct the problem.

If the voltmeter reads zero voltage, it means that no

electricity is reaching the AC Control Center. Check

your shore power cord to make sure it is properly at-

tached to both the boat and the shore power source.

Also, make sure you have turned on the circuit breakers

at both the shore power source box and the boat’s shore

power receptacle. If the voltmeter continues to read zero

voltage, contact marina management to ensure that the

shore power source is operating properly. If the problem

appears to be with your boat’s AC electrical system,

have the system inspected by a qualified electrician.

Select Voltage Switch

This switch determines which AC electrical line’s volt-

age (Line 1 or Line 2) is shown on the voltmeter.
