4.9 FUEL TANK REMOVAL

1. Remove the complete genset from container (if so
installed). Refer to paragraph 2.1.
2. Pump out fuel, if so desired.
3. Disconnect fuel lines (items 2 and 3, NO TAG)
from tank after identifying same.
4. Remove five capscrews (3/8) securing tank to
bottom frame members.
5. Remove two capscrews (1/4, item 10) securing
bottom flange of control box to frame (front view).
6. Remove two capscrews (1/4) securing control box
(item 4) and tank to top frame member.
7. Remove two capscrews (1/4, item 5) securing
battery box and fuel tank to top frame member.
8. Remove two capscrews (5/16, item 7) securing
battery box to rear frame member (top view).
9. Remove four capscrews (3/8, item 6) securing
battery box and control box support to top frame
members.
10. Slide battery box and junction box (to the right) 1
to 2 inches to clear tank mounting flanges.
11. Use tank lifting eyes to move tank being careful
not to damage the sump (drain).
