Defining an Outgoing Mail Server

Features that require the Adit to send e-mail (example: e-mail notification) require an outgoing SMTP
server to be defined.

1. Enter the host name of your outgoing SMTP server in the

Server

field.

2. Enter a “from” e-mail address in the

From E-mail Address field

.

Each e-mail requires a “from” address. Some outgoing servers refuse to forward e-mail without
a valid “from” address for anti-spam considerations.
