5.10 Sleep function
The sleep function intervenes on the set point temperature value, raising it in the summer and lowering
it in the winter. The temperature variation allows night-time energy saving.
Sleep function features
• It can be set for a maximum time of 9 consecutive hours and on expiry of the pre-set time it deacti-
vates automatically.
• If already activated, by pressing the SLEEP key it is deactivated.
• It is automatically deactivated every time the µAD is switched-on.
• It cannot be activated with the time periods, the ‘process’ mode or if the sleep differential for the
current season is equal to 0.0°C/°F (sleep mode disabled).
• During the sleep mode the set point is increased or decreased by a value that can e set by the user
(see “Sleep differential setting”). The pre-defi ned value is ±2 °C.
• The heating “sleep differential” is distinguished from the cooling one. Therefore, the setting of the
differential is only valid for the summer of winter mode in progress.
Activation
Press the SLEEP key. Every time the button is pressed it corresponds to an additional hour of the function. It is
possible to set up to 9 hours. The modifi cations are set after three seconds from when the key is released. The
sleep symbol

, the symbol (18) disappears from the screen (Fig. 5.q).
