Black water system instructions
•
The presence or not of the black water system does not affect the normal use of the
toilet. The only difference concerns the three-way valve, which will be set to the
relevant position according to whether you want to discharge directly into the sea
or into the collecting tank.
To better understand the functioning of the above-mentioned three-way valve,
please refer to the diagram at the next page.
•
Should the black water system work, you need to periodically empty its collecting tank, also
considering its use. In any case, it is advisable to empty it every time you put out to open
sea.
•
You can empty the collecting tank on the quay, if the suitable emptying systems are
available; otherwise, you have to do it in open sea.
Discharge by the quay emptying systems
•
Check that both the three-way valves and the disposer seacock are closed.
•
Connect the quay sucking system to the WASTE cap on the deck.
•
Start the emptying system following the directions of the attendant staff.
Discharge at sea.
•
Check that the three-way valves are set to the direct discharge at sea position.
•
Turn on the magneto-thermal switches in the 12 Vdc electrical panel (see page 50).
•
Open the through-hull seacock to empty the black water tank into the sea.
•
Start the black water tank disposer by turning on its switch, located just above the above-
mentioned seacock.
•
Once emptied the tank, immediately stop the disposer, by the same switch you use to start it,
and close its seacock.
