Installation Manual
Oct 2015 • Rev. 2.6
Each relay provides a dry contact, rated for 6A @ 30 VDC maximum.
See NOTE
3 for 6 Amp Relay Rating
in the Specifications section of this manual
.
RED LEDs are located in front of each relay (OLED1-OLED8) to indicate the
on/off state of those relay outputs.
TAMPER/FORCED ENTRY OUTPUT (SHARED OUTPUTS)
Forced Entry
If the door is forced open (door contact open) without either a valid access-
granted or exit-button event, a forced-entry alarm occurs and this output will be
activated. A message will be transmitted to the host PC if the panel is online.
Reader Tamper
A reader tamper alarm can be created if PIN 1 (D0 Wiegand) and PIN 5
(Ground) at reader ports are shorted on the board. To monitor a reader tamper,
connect a Normally Open switch at the back of the reader, which shorts out
those pins; if someone removes the reader from the wall, the switch will close
and activate this output relay. A reader tamper message will be displayed on the
host PC if the panel is online.
Cabinet Tamper
Panel-tamper output can also be monitored using the cabinet-tamper alarm
input. To enable cabinet tamper, move TJ5 to the enabled position (top 2 pins).
If cabinet tamper is used, both Tamper Relays on Reader “A” and Reader “B”
will go on together indicating this alarm. Hurricane software will report Panel
Tamper.
