The carriage
error due to the
mis-installed
print head
(5100)
- When installing
the print head
(When replacing
the print head)
When the print
head lock lever is
not pressed
completely into
place at the print
head installation,
the print head lock
lever contacts with
the main cover,
due to its
incomplete
position. Which
causes the carriage
error, resulting in
the print head not
moving to the
center.
When the print head cannot be
removed even after carrying out the
followings, repair is needed.
1) Disconnect the printer from a power
source with the printer powered on
when the carriage error is occurring.
2) Pull out the carriage and press the
print headlock lever in to fix it.
