Original Size Initial Identification (feed direction)

In original size initial identification (feed direction), the machine uses the length sensor 1
(PI6) and the length sensor 2 (PI7) to find out the length of the original placed in the original
tray in feed direction.
When an original is placed in the original tray, the detecting levers of the 2 length sensors
operate in conjunction with the light-blocking plate, which blocks the light to the
photointerrupter. The machine uses the combination of the levels of the signals (LENG1S,
LENG2S) from these 2 sensors to identify the size of the original based on the table of
original widths discussed later. The result of identification is then communicated to the host
machine on a real-time basis.

and the original widths in relation to the original sizes that will be identified:
