Fluence Controls and Indicators
The Fluence parameter specifies the amount of energy (in Joules) delivered to the treatment
spot size (in cm). The Fluence setting is adjustable in increments of 0.25J/cm
2
between the
lower and upper Fluence values for each spot size and duration.
To change the Fluence setting, select the up and down arrows (see Figure 2-19 ). The
Fluence defaults to the lower setting for the selected spot size.

Pulse Duration Control
The Pulse Duration parameter is the duration of the pulse delivered to the patient (see Figure
2-20 ). The buttons are inactive for future use.
