DISC PROTECTOR
Wheel Installation
At front, ensure that brake discs pro-
tectors are properly installed.

FRONT WHEEL
1. Disc protector
1. Install nuts and washers (where ap-
plicable).
WARNING
On the X mx model, install the ta-
pered side of the nuts towards rim.
Gently tighten nuts in a criss-cross
sequence then apply a final torque of
52 N•m.
NOTICE
Always use the recom-
mended wheel nuts and washers.
Using a different nut and washer
could cause damages to the rim.
Front Wheel Bearings
Front Wheel Bearings Inspection
Push and pull the wheels from the up-
per edge to feel the play. See an autho-
rized Can-Am dealer if there is any play.
Rear Axle
Rear Axle Inspection
Lift rear of vehicle high enough to have
wheels off the ground.
Push and pull rear axle to feel the play.
Look for axle bending or runout.
See an authorized Can-Am dealer if
there is any play or damage.
Suspensions
Suspensions Inspection
Shock Absorbers
Inspect shock absorber for oil leaks and
fasteners for tightness. See an autho-
rized Can-Am dealer if necessary.
WARNING
– Shock absorbers are pressur-
ized.
– An explosion may occur if heat-
ed or punctured.
– Do not disassemble.
Suspension arms, Swing arm and
linkage
Check
these
parts
for
damages
(cracks, dents, excessive play or cor-
roded pin-holes). If one of these dam-
