6.2 Special maintenance
6.2.1 General
The repair and special maintenance operations have to be carried out by a qualified mechanic.
Before any maintenance operation:
• Put on anti-puncture safety gloves.
• Put the ON/OFF switch (5) in OFF position.
• Disconnect the power supply cable (13).
All special maintenance operations (such as replacement of keyboard, power supply cable, motor, electronic

These are the centres authorized by the Manufacturer to repair the products.
6.2.2 Cleaning the cutting bar and the lubrication holes
Clean these parts very often, especially every time before using the tool.
• Remove the chain (16) and clean its drive.
• Clean the lubrication holes.
6.2.3 Chain sharpening
Put-on anti-puncture safety gloves.
Follow the Manufacturer’s instruction for the chain sharpening and maintenance operations. To decrease the
height of the depth adjusting device could mean to increase the kickback risk.
Each 3 or 4 chain sharpening operations check and, if necessary, file the depth adjusting device by means of a
flat file, then round its upper point.
The distance between the chain teeth is 1/4“. Therefore, use a file with a 4 mm diameter as well as a flat one.
• Always sharpen the file starting from the inner part of the cutting side towards its outer part. Keep a 35° inclination.
• After sharpening, all the teeth must have the same size (length and width)

When filing, keep a distance which is
1/5 of the diameter of the file
Put the depth calliper in stable position on the chain, so that the depth marker protrudes. File its protruding part till it
