Alternative Antennas for Connectorised units
5 GHz 450 series connectorised units are designed to connect to a dual polar antenna, using vertical and
horizontal (VH) polarisation.
It is recommended that for 3 GHz 450 series connectorised units, an external dual polar antenna with dual
slant polarisation is used.
The 450i / 450 series connectorized radios have been tested for EU regulatory compliance using the antenna
types listed below. The maximum gain of each antenna type is shown. Antennas of equivalent gain or lower
and of the same antenna type may be used. For the EU, do not use an antenna with higher gain. To reduce
potential radio interference to other users, the antenna type and its gain must be so chosen that the
equivalent isotropic radiated power (EIRP) is not more than that necessary for successful communication.
