Installing a 450 series Subscriber Module - SM
Additional steps are required to ensure that the SM is aligned correctly.
• A coarse alignment procedure must be executed using the alignment tool or alignment tone.
• Verification of the AP to SM link by reviewing power level, link tests, and reviewing registration and
session counts.

Installing 450 series PTP links
The process for installing a ‘Backhaul Master’ (BHM) is similar to that described for an Access Point. When
installing the ‘Backhaul Slave’ (BHS), a coarse alignment procedure must be executed using the alignment tool
or alignment tone. Refer to the user-guide for more detail.
Consult the 450 series user-guide or training material for further detail of mounting arrangements, cabling
and alignment. The guides are available at the Cambium Networks Web-site, see links at the end of this
document.
