PTP 400 Series bridges operate at less than 100 Mbit speeds and so can be cabled to one of the 
eight Ethernet ports on the controller board, thus taking advantage of the controller board for 
surge suppression. The port must be configured to be unpowered.  The PTP 400 Series bridge is 
powered by its own externally located PIDU. 

 

PTP 450 devices do not support synchronization over power port.
