4 Wiring / Connecting Cables
Before we start the wiring, it would be a good idea to study the wiring diagram
and the schematics. See Appendix V (UK wiring) or Appendix VI (US wiring)
and the schematics on Appendix VII and VIII.
The wiring can generally be divided into two sections: power (high voltages)
and audio level.
We will start with the power cables.
4.1 Power Cables
4.1.1 Safety Earth
Start with connecting the ground safety earth connection from the IEC socket
to the chassis (Figure 22). Please note that this connection should not be
removed – ever.
Do not tighten the nut yet, as we will be connecting another cable from the star
earth, to the same bolt.

4.1.2 IEC Socket to the Power Switch
Now connect the live and neutral terminals on the IEC socket to the main power
switch (Figure 23).
