Chapter 3: Using WordScan & Window Descriptions
HP AccuPage Technology
The
HP AccuPage
button appears only when an HP
AccuPage-compatible scanner is installed. It provides the
Scanner Settings dialog box with settings for small text,
auto-zoning, auto-threshold, and binary, dithered, 16
shades of grey, or 256 shades of grey.
,
Important:
Auto zoning is available with HP
AccuPage-compatible scanners. Auto zoning occurs
before auto orientation and deskewing. Disable Auto
Zone if you cannot control an image’s orientation or
skew before acquiring it.
The Status bar at the bottom of the Main window provides
useful information about buttons and the settings. The
first field contains HoverHelp information. When
HoverHelp is enabled and you place the cursor over a
button or select a menu item, a short description appears
in the HoverHelp field.
The second field shows the number of processed pages,
and the third field identifies the template in use. The
other fields show the settings enabled in the Settings
menu.
