Once your irrigation boom is at the start and adjusted correctly, turn on your water
supply. Bring your system up to pressure slowly, and once you have reached operating
pressure begin your pull. If you are angled for the headland at the start of your pull you must
re adjust your irrigation boom to match the angle of the finishing headland. If there are
obstacles in the field the operator must rotate the boom around any obstacles in the irrigation
boom’s path.
Quickly pressurizing your irrigation boom may lead to unexpected seal
failures, damage to your irrigation boom and/or the attached equipment.
Failure to re adjust your irrigation boom before the end of your pull may
result in a collision with people or objects. This will cause damage to the
irrigation boom, any equipment or items in the area, and serious injury
and/or death.
Folding
Step 1
Begin folding your irrigation boom by ensuring your boom frame is locked to the
turntable at a 90 degree angle (perpendicular) with the boom cart frame then lower the
stabilizers until they are on the ground and locked into position. Verify that they are locked in
place.

Failure to lower and lock your irrigation boom stabilizers before folding
your irrigation boom will result in an unbalanced irrigation boom that will
tip over. This will result in damage to your irrigation boom, and may cause
injury and/or death.
