Problems with Route Guidance
Inappropriate route guidance may occur under one of
the following conditions:
•
When the vehicle did not turn onto the road
indicated by the system,
•
when route guidance is not available for the next
right or left turn,
•
when the route may not be changed during
automatic rerouting,
•
when there is no route guidance because of a turn
at an intersection,
•
when plural names of places are displayed,
•
when a delay in automatic rerouting occurs because
of high speed driving,
•
when automatic rerouting displays a route returning
to a set waypoint which was missed originally,
•
when the route prohibits the entry of a vehicle due
to a regulation by time or season or any other
regulation which may be given,
•
when a route cannot be found, or
•
when the route to the destination is not shown
because of recently changed or unlisted roads
on the DVD.

Database Coverage Explanations
Coverage areas within the United States and Canada
vary with respect to the level of map detail available for
any given area. Some areas will feature greater
levels of detail than others. If this happens, it does not
mean there is a problem with the system. As map
DVDs are updated, more detail may become available
for areas which previously had limited detail.
