Locks and car alarm
All the windows should be shut when the
alarm is armed. Otherwise, the movement
sensor may interpret a passer-by as an
attempted break-in.
The alarm is armed 11 seconds after
remote locking.
During the delay period, the LED shines
constantly. It will then start to flash once
every 3 seconds. The LED is located on the
fascia.
If a door or the boot lid is open when the
car is locked with the remote control,
the LED will flash 3 times per second for
11 seconds. Check that the doors, bonnet
and boot lid are closed.
If the signal persists, contact a workshop to
have the problem checked and rectified. We
recommend that you contact an authorised
Cadillac workshop.
Locking the boot lid
If you unlock/open the boot lid from outside
with button
on the remote control, it will
be unlocked when closed. Lock it by
pressing button
on the remote control.
If the car has an alarm, it will be armed.
To avoid any inconvenience, make sure that
anyone using the car is familiar with how the
car alarm and the locking system work.
If the alarm has been triggered since the car
was last locked, the DIC will display:
If the car alarm system malfunctions, the
DIC will display:

ment in the cabin.

sensor).
• Someone tampers with the alarm siren.
• Somebody tries to hotwire the car.
• The car battery is disconnected.
