Locks and car alarm
Disabling the movement and tilt sensors
If, for example, you leave a dog in the car,
park on a ferry or use a cabin heater, you
should disable the sensors as described
below:
1 Select Settings using the steering
wheel
buttons,
or .
2 Hold the SET button depressed until a
chime sounds.
3 Select Theft Alarm using the steering
wheel
buttons,
or .
4 Hold the SET button depressed until a
chime sounds.
5 Select DOOR ONLY.
6 End by pressing the SET button.
Movement and tilt sensors (if fitted) will be
reactivated automatically the next time you
start the car. You can activate the sensors
manually as described above. Select FULL
ALARM under Step 4 above.
The functions of FULL ALARM and DOOR
ONLY modes are explained below.
Panic function
The alarm function also has a panic func-
tion. For cars without car alarm, we recom-
mend that you contact an authorised
Cadillac workshop. The panic function
makes it possible to trigger the alarm to
attract attention or the like.
The panic alarm can only be activated while
the car is stationary. The alarm is silenced if
the car is driven off.
When the alarm is tripped, the lights and
siren come on for 3 minutes or until you
press one of the remote control buttons.
To start the alarm manually proceed as
follows:
• Press and hold the
button on the
remote control for more than 2 seconds,
or if you are sitting in the car...
• Press and hold the
or
button on
the driver’s door for more than 2 seconds.
To switch off the alarm:
• Press one of the remote control buttons
or, if you are sitting in the car, the
or
button on the driver’s door.
Theft Alarm

FULL ALARM
DOOR ONLY
FULL ALARM:
The alarm will be triggered if a window
is smashed and someone sticks in their
arm to take something from the car. All
windows and the sunroof should be
shut when the car is locked in FULL
ALARM mode.
DOOR ONLY:
In this mode, the movement and tilt
sensors (if fitted) are disabled. This can
be useful if you wish to leave a dog in
the car or are travelling by ferry, for
example.
