Interior equipment

Interior rear view mirror

The interior rear view mirror is of the anti 
dazzle type and can be deflected with the 
lever on its underside. Certain variants have 
an auto dimming rear view mirror.

The lever should be in the normal position 
when you adjust the mirror.

Press button 2 to activate auto dimming.

The rear view mirror has two sensors: one 
forward-facing and one rear-facing sensor. 

The forward-facing sensor detects whether 
it is dark outside.

The rear-facing sensor detects, for 
example, if the car following has not dipped 
its headlights. The rear view mirror is then 
darkened to prevent the strong light source 
from dazzling the driver. This darkening is 
stepless.

The mirror returns to its normal state when 
the strong light source diminishes.

The system is disengaged when reverse 
gear is selected.

Towing a tall trailer can render the system 
inoperative, as light from the vehicle behind 
will not reach the rear-facing sensor.

If the car has auto dimming door mirrors, 
they are regulated by the same sensors 
as the rear view mirror.
