ESX-1320/ESX-1380 Installation Guide

Installing the FLASH SIMM

To install a FLASH SIMM, refer to Figure 3-6 and proceed as follows:

1. Remove the chassis cover as described in Section 3.2.

2. Locate the FLASH SIMM slot. (See Figure 3-4.)

3. Insert the SIMM between the connector teeth in the SIMM slot.

4. Pivot the SIMM down until it locks into the clips in the SIMM slot,

and the SIMM holes fit over the SIMM slot posts.
