3 .3 The binder controls
The binder's controls are as follows:
1. A colour touch-screen used to program jobs (UI).
2. Black and green buttons on the loading console.
3. Pedal.
4. Emergency stop button.
5. Indicator lights.
6. Safety barriers.
3.3.1 Function of the buttons on the loading console:
Black button - opening the carriage jaws:
1. This button opens the carriage jaws so that the space where the book to be bound is
inserted can be adjusted.
Green button:
This button has 3 functions: 1. Closing the carriage jaws so that the space where the book to
be bound is inserted can be adjusted.
2. Beginning the binding process by pressing the button twice, as
long as the operator's hands have been withdrawn from the
loading area and the "manual start" mode has been selected -
see chapter
"4.2 "PREFERENCES" menu", page 37.
3. Reinitialising the machine, on power-up, after an emergency
stop or after a panel has been opened.
