The UV intensity value shown after startup is
unusually high.
The UV transmittance of the water is unu-
sually high.
The emitters has been run for less than 100 h.
The UV intensity value shown is unusually low. The UV transmittance of the water is unusually
low.
The emitters have already been run for more
than 10000 h.
The line which runs along the emitter is direct-
ly in front of the sensor.
Sensor malfunction
Run the unit at a lower volume flow if necessary
and reduce limits S1 and S2.
Replace emitter.
Rotate emitter slightly.
Replace sensor
The UV intensity value shown drops constant-
ly when the water remains stagnant.
The water in the radiation chamber is heated
by the UV emitter. The performance of the
UV emitter is reduced at high temperatures.
Install flush valve.
There is water in the emitter protection tube. Provided the emitter protection tube is
installed correctly, condensation can form
when the unit is operated without the blue
protective cap.
Check whether the emitter protection tube is
installed correctly.
Check that the blue protective cap is in the correct
position and replace the o-ring if necessary.
The UV-Control II displays !LAMP! although
new emitters have been installed.
Replace the ballasts.
Check emitter signal cable.
Ozone in treated water
The water temperature may be too high.
Change mode of operation.

11 Warranty
If the product malfunctions during the warranty period, contact your
contract partner, the installation company, and quote the unit type and
production number (see Technical specifications or the type plate on
the unit).
Non-compliance with the installation conditions and the operator res-
ponsibilities voids the warranty and disclaims liability.
The wearing parts defined in the “Operator responsibilities” section
and the consequences of failing to replace these parts on time are not
covered by the 2-year legal warranty.
BWT assumes no liability in the event that the unit fails or if the capa-
city becomes deficient due to incorrect material selection/combination,
floating corrosion products or iron and manganese deposits, or any
resulting damage thereof.
