for this pump
l
Only use the oil type specified on the pump nameplate
l
Prepare the quantity of oil specified in the table “Oil quantity”.
NOTE
: The quantity of oil specified in the installation handbook is of
informative nature only. Check the oil level with the help of the various
oil sight glasses (OSG) on the vacuum pump.
CAUTION
Before you change the type of oil, make sure that the new type is
compatible with the old type. If necessary, flush the vacuum pump.
l
Unscrew the two oil filler caps (OFP).
l
Fill in oil.
l
Make sure that the oil level lies between the MIN and MAX
markings on the oil sight glasses.
l
Make sure that the seals of the oil filler cap are not damaged.
Replace them if necessary.
l
Screw on the two oil filler caps hermetically tight.
l
Start the vacuum pump.

u
Fill in more oil.
If the intake line is equipped with a shut-off device:
u
Open the shut-off device.
If the intake line is not equipped with a shut-off device:
u
Remove the rubber plate from the intake flange and connect
the intake line to the intake flange.
CAUTION
The vacuum pump may not be lifted anymore when it has been
filled with oil.
l
Make sure before every transport that the oil has been drained out
of the vacuum pump.
CAUTION
The vacuum pump must remain in a horizontal position when it has
been filled with oil.

Prepare the quantity of cooling liquid specified in the table
“Cooling liquid quantity”.
l
Unscrew the filler cap (CLF) on the expansion vessel.
l
Fill in the cooling liquid through the filler opening until the liquid
starts running out of the screw on upper cylinder
l
Stop filling in cooling liquid.
l
Fill in more cooling liquid through the filler opening until the liquid
