Product Description

The vacuum pump COBRA NC complies with European Directive
2014/34/EU.

The vacuum pump is provided with the following explosion protection
markings:

Inside II 2G Ex h IIB T3 Gb X
Outside No ATEX Zone

Use

The COBRA NC 400 B with the above mentioned certification can be
used for drawing explosive gases and vapour mixtures out of and in
zone 1. It cannot be used in an environment around the pump which is
potentially explosive.

The vacuum pump can, without limitation, draw explosive gases or
vapours of explosion group IIB and temperature class T3. Please also
note the corresponding explosion group protection markings on the
pump and the switch-off temperature settings in the relevant chapters.

The vacuum pump should not be used for the handling of explosive
atmospheres that can auto-destruct or are chemically unstable.

Max. permissible number of startings per hour: 6.

The authorised ambient temperature is situated between -20°C and
+40°C.

The temperature of the drawn gases must be inferior to 100°C.

The maximum authorised back pressure at the exhaust is 100 hPa. If
there is a risk that this back pressure could exceed 100 hPa, a pressure
switch must be installed at the exhaust of the pump, which will stop
the pump as soon as the back pressure exceeds the set value.

The vacuum pump must only be used when its components and
protective coatings are resistant to chemical influences (e.g. corrosion)
during operation, in order to maintain the explosion protection cover.
This is particularly applicable for the safety devices, such as the
temperature sensors and pressure switches.
