Before op erati ng the printer, please r ead foll ow ing notes car efull y.
Safet y warn ings
Warning:
D o not touch the cutter on the printer
Warning:
D o not touch the print head and its surrounding p arts during or just after printi ng
as the print head is hot.
Attention
1) Printer shoul d be placed on a flat and s table location.
2) Leave enough space for oper ati on and m aintenance around the printer.
3) Printer shoul d be kept aw ay from w ater. Avoid direct sunlight, str ong lights and heat.
4) Avoid g etti ng w ater or conductive m aterial (such as m etal) i nto the i nterior of the printer. If this
happens, disconnect the printer pow er suppl y imm ediatel y.
5) Do not all ow condensati on to form on the sur face of the printer. If condensati on has form ed, the
printer shoul d not be pow ered on until the condensati on has been elim inated.
6) Do not use or store printer in condi tions of hi gh tem perature , high hum idity or seri ous poll uti on .
7) Avoid placi ng printer i n a l ocation that w ould subject it to vibration or im pact.
8) Connect the printer pow er cable to a properl y ground ed socket. Avoid usi ng the sam e socket w ith
large m otors or other devices w hich coul d cause pow er suppl y voltage fluctuati ons .
9) If the printer i s not to b e used for an extended peri od, unplug the pow er cord. .
10) Do not attem pt to print w ithout paper. This w ill seriousl y dam age the print roll ers and therm al
print head.
11) To ensur e print quali ty and product life use the r ecom m ended paper or the sam e quality of paper.
12) Turn off the print er pow er sw itch before plugging in or unplugging pow er or interface cables.
Failur e to do so m ay dam age the printer.
13) To m axim ize the life of the printer, i t is suggested that users use the low est l evel print density
that m eets print quality requir em ents .
14) Ther e ar e no user -serviceable parts insi de the printer. Disassem bling the printer w ill void the
w arranty.
15) Keep this m anual for refer ence.
