Loosen the captive screw (A) on the heat sink retention mechanism bracket. Lift the retention
mechanism bracket up (B). Remove the microprocessor heat sink (C).

Pull out and lift up on the microprocessor locking lever (A) to unlock the microprocessor socket.
Remove the microprocessor (B).
