Preface
This manual explains how to install the DAS 150 disk-array storage system and how to
replace and/or install customer-replaceable units (CRUs).
It is for technical services personnel who want to install and maintain the storage system. It
assumes familiarity with the computer, called the
server , to which the storage system will be
connected.
How this manual is organized
Chapter 1 Introduces the storage system’s components and its connection to the server.
Chapter 2 Describes how to connect a single storage system to the server’s SCSI-2 bus.
Chapter 3 Describes how to connect multiple storage systems to the server(s).
Chapter 4 Describes how to replace or add disk modules and how to replace the other customer-re-
placeable units (CRUs).
Appendix A Lists the technical specifications of the storage system.
Appendix B Lists the available spare parts with their part number.
