Check before operation
Please check that:
−
all tubes and electric fittings have no damages and are mounted correctly!
−
no part of the sample gas probe is demounted (e.g. cover)!
−
the protective and surveillance devices are installed and functioning (e.g. flame trap)!
−
the inlet and outlet tubes of the sample gas probe are not closed!
−
the ambient parameters are not exceeded!
−
Data on the rating plate complies with the mains!
−
voltage and frequency of the self-regulating heater coincide with the mains!
−
the alarm output is connected energy bounded
(U
max
= 30V, I
max
= 100mA)!
−
all electrical connections are tightened!
−
equipment is grounded and duly protected!
−
the terminal box cover is closed; check if the cable entry points are properly sealed!
−

DANGER
Electrical voltage
Electrocution hazard.
Disconnect the device from power supply during maintenance and service.
Make sure that the equipment cannot be reconnected to mains
unintentionally.
The device must be opened by trained staff only.
DANGER
Toxic and corrosive gases
Sample gas can be hazardous.
Before maintenance release process pressure.
Before maintenance turn off the gas supply and make sure that it cannot be
turned on unintentionally.
Protect yourself during maintenance against toxic / corrosive gases. Use
gloves, respirator and face protector under certain circumstances.
Press and push slightly the handle on the rear of the probe, turn by 90° and pull (the handle must be now
in horizontal position) the handle with the filter out. Remove the exhausted filter element and check proper
conditions of the sealing surfaces. Before installing the new filter element always replace the O-Ring on the
handle plug carefully, put a new filter element onto it and insert the handle into the probe. Push to the very
end and turn handle 90° spigot (handle is vertical now). Pull the handle to examine whether the handle
stucks. When the filter has been taken out of the probe, it is possible, if necessary, to clean the extension
tube internally by blowing plant air through or by mechanical means.
