Formatting Volumes

Follow the procedure below to format a volume.

In Windows Storage Server, navigate to 

Start

All Programs

 - 

Administrative Tools

 - 

Computer Management

.

Follow the instructions displayed on the screen.

The volume is successfully formatted.

Click 

Disk Management

.

Right-click the volume that you want to format, then select 

Format

.

Note: 

The formatting process will erase all data stored in the hard 

drive. Back up any important data on the drive before formatting.
