2.3 ALARM SIGNALS
2.3.1 Signals from IU
The porter Switchboard can receive 3 types of alarm from the apartments:
PANIC ALARM this signal has priority over all other Exchange functions. When there is
a panic alarm the Exchange can only call the IU which has generated
the alarm, cancel the alarm or receive a new panic alarm signal.
Any calls from IU and alarms from common parts or apartments are
put in the call queue.
When programming (see sect. 3.5.6) management of this alarm can
only be enabled or disabled globally.
When the Exchange receives a panic alarm (
depending on the call mode
) the following
message is displayed:
The alarm (
acquisition)
can be cancelled with the
can
button and typing the
password
.
Panic alarms which have not yet been acquired (whether silenced or not) are saved in the alarm
queue. The management of this queue is similar to the pending call queue, except that cancelling
an alarm requires knowledge of the password.
TECHNICAL ALARM this signal has priority over the IU call signals. When programming
(
see sect. 3.3.1
) the name which identifies the alarm must be associated
for each auxiliary channel to be dedicated to this function.
The name programmed is shown associated with the indication of the
IU giving the alarm on the Exchange display when the signal is given.
When the Exchange receives a technical alarm (
depending on the call mode
) the following
message is displayed:
The alarm can be
silenced
with the
ok
button.
The alarm (
acquisition)
can be
cancelled
with the
can
button and confirming with
ok
.
