2.3 ALARM SIGNALS
The porter Switchboard can receive alarm signals from:
●
APARTMENTS
●
COMMON PARTS
When the Exchange receives an alarm:
●
it emits a particularly annoying audible signal. The signal
is silenced by calling the apartment (
in the case of a
PANIC alarm
) or with the
ok
button in other cases;
●
the alarm signal is shown on the display (
differently
depending on the type of alarm
).
The signal on the display disappears when the IU
answers the Exchange call (
PANIC alarm acquisition
)
or pressing the
can
button (
acquisition of other
signals
).
When there is an alarm, any calls to the Exchange from IU and alarms from common parts or
apartments are put in the call queue.
If an EP tries to call the Exchange where there is a panic alarm, it will hear a busy tone.
When there are several alarm situations at the same time, an alarm queue is created as described
in sect. 2.1.5.
