BT Revelation

ISDN Access  Unit

The connection of the BT Revelation ISDN

Access Unit to a BT Revelation System with

a minimum configuration of 2+6 provides
ISDN2 voice  services  to all devices
connected to  your BT Revelation system.

The fact that some or all of the lines

connected to your BT Revelation are ISDN2
lines does not affect how you use the features

and facilities which appear in this BT
Revelation

Owner's Handbook.

The connection of the ISDN Access Unit will
not affect the other  ISDN  services supported
on your ISDN2 lines.

You may keep all your  existing analogue

equipment  (such as fax machines,  answering
machines,  cordless  phones etc).  These will

then be used over the ISDN circuits via your
BT Revelation.

Using your BT Revelation with

ISDN

The ISDN Access Unit is designed so that it

can

be

connected in parallel with any other ISDN

device (for example, a

data

application,

PC

or

group

fax).

Your BT Revelation system

will

only react to voice calls, as it assumes that

all

other calls (ie

data

calls)

are

destined for

another device on the ISDN2 line.

If  other  equipment  is connected in parallel,
you will notice that when a  device is using an
ISDN2 line, the light on the Systemphones
beside the key  corresponding  to the line,
glows red.

If

an incoming call is answered by

another  device on  the So bus,  the
Systemphone light may not  indicate  that the
line is busy.
