Using additional handsets

Registering a new GAP compatible
handset to your BT Freelance 501 base

To put the BT Freelance 501 base into
registration mode:

1. Press 

and hold

for approximately 3

seconds, until the base beeps and the
In use light flashes, then 

release

the

button. The handset will now remain in
registration mode for 90 seconds.

At the new handset:

Internal calls

Making internal calls

You can make internal calls between
two BT Freelance 501 handsets.

1. Press 

and hold

until the 

symbol is displayed.

2. Enter the number of the handset you

want to call. The called handset will ring
and show the calling handset’s number.

If there is no response, press 

to

end the call at your handset.

handset will return to
