Install the Wiremaster Mole Rotor (Ref. #57 - part #460-002) and  ghten the outside  ¾” nut
to 70  .lbs. Remember, the Rotor rotates counter-clockwise when facing it from the nut end of
the rotor sha .  The carbide cu ng  p should be on the top of the right end and the bo om of the
le  end.  The front wheel of the trencher controls the depth of the rotor.  There are three depth
posi ons (2”, 3” and 4”) determined by the front wheel posi on.  The bo om posi on will give a
2” depth, the center posi on will give a 3” depth and the top posi on will give a 4” depth.  Set the
front wheel to the desired wire/trench depth.

1. Read and understand Operating Instructions on pages 10 & 11.  Check oil level of engine.

Add oil if needed.

2. The front wheel of the trencher controls the depth of the rotor.  There are three depth

positions (2”,  3”,  4”) for the front wheel.  The bottom position is 2”,  the center position is 3”, 
and the top position is 4”.  Set the front wheel to the desired wire depth.

3. Place the machine at the starting point.  Start the engine, tilt the handlebar down, raising the

front wheel off the ground until the rotor clears the ground.  Engage the clutch handle which
will turn the rotor.  Slowly raise the handle and allow the rotor to start digging, when the front
wheel is on the ground, begin pulling the machine backward, digging a trench approximately
20-24 inches long.  Stop the engine.

4. Load  Wire Spool Mount with spooled wire and thread wire through PEX tubing (item #49)

until it protrudes about 6-8” out of the bottom end of the PEX tubing.

5. Drive a stake in ground about 12” from the starting point of the wire run.
6.  Loosen the two Up/Down Adjustment Knobs (item #43) and slide the Front Up/Down Bracket

 forward and lower it and then slide back with the Bracket on top of the tab on the Outside
Brace (item #56) and tighten the Up/Down Adjustment Knobs (item #43) securely.

7. Secure the wire to the stake at ground level.
8. Check oil level, add as needed. Crank the engine and run at full throttle.
9. Be certain the ground rod (item #44) is positioned in the trench.  The front wheel should be

on the ground.

10.  The wire is now positioned at the bottom of the trench at the desired depth.  Continue to pull

 the machine and complete the wire installation/run.

11. T o make turns, merely lift up on the handlebar and slide the rear wheels to make the turn,

pivoting the trencher on the front wheel.
