The machine does not print.
Is a cable loose?
Make sure that the cables are securely connected.
Is the status indicator blinking?
An error occurred. Follow the instructions for the error
message that appeared on the LCD.
Are the top cover and bottom cover firmly closed?
Press down on the top cover and bottom cover until they
click into place.
Are the tape cassette or fabric ribbon cassette and the ink
ribbon cassette installed?
Make sure that the tape cassette or fabric ribbon cassette
and the ink ribbon cassette are installed.
Has the paper core holder been locked?
Make sure that the paper core holder is locked. For details,

Installing the Paper Core Holder
Check to see if there is any remaining ink, tape or fabric
ribbon left on the cassette.
Check to make sure there is enough remaining ink, tape or
fabric ribbon to print your job. For details, see
Cancel the print job, and then turn off the machine. Turn the
machine on, and then try printing again.
Check that the firmware has been updated to the newest
version. The firmware version can be checked with the P-
touch Update Software. For details, see
The tape or fabric ribbon is not fed
correctly.
Is the platen roller dirty?
Use a piece of cellophane tape to clean the surface of the
platen roller.

A data transmission error appears on

Is the correct port selected?
Make sure that the correct port is selected.
Is the machine in cooling mode (the power indicator is
blinking in orange)?
Wait until the indicator stops blinking, and then try printing
again.
Is someone printing via the network?
If you try to print while other users are printing large
amounts of data, the machine will be unable to accept your
print job until ongoing printing is finished. In such a
situation, execute the print job again after the other jobs are
completed.
