Existing Installation of Windows 2000, XP, or 2003
Installing the RAIDCore BC4000 Series controller involves the installation of device drivers for the controller
and the RAIDCore Configuration Device.
To install the BC4000 Series RAID controller device driver:
1.
Install the controller
and
hard disk drives
.
2.
Reboot Windows 2000, XP, or 2003.
3.
In the
Found New Hardware Wizard
, click
Install from a List or Specific Location,
and then click
Next
.
4.
Click
Don’t search, I will choose the driver to install
,
and then click
Next
.
5.
Click
Unknown Manufacturer,
and then click
Have Disk
.
6.
Insert the RAIDCore media CD in the CD-ROM drive if you have not already done so.
7.
In
Install From Disk
, click
Browse
.
8.
Locate the driver configuration file
bcraid
. For example, if your CD-ROM drive is mapped to
D:
, browse to
D:\windows\driver\i386\W2K
or
XP_W2K3
(for the 32-bit drivers),
or
D:\windows\driver\x86_64
(for the 64-
bit drivers), and then click
Open
.
9.
Click
Next
when the
Found New Hardware Wizard
indicates that the RAIDCore driver is being installed.
10.
If you are warned that the RAIDCore component has not passed Windows Logo testing, click
Continue

Note:
The 32-bit drivers for Windows 2000 are in the W2K subdirectory. The 32-bit drivers for
Windows 2003 and XP are in the XP_W2K3 subdirectory.
