Fixing the outdoor unit
Anchor the outdoor unit with
φ
10 or
φ
8 bolts tightly. Ensure
the unit is level and secure.
Fig.52
Install the outdoor unit on a firm rigid base to
prevent minimise noise and vibration.
Position the unit so the condenser air discharge
is free of obstruction. If the unit is exposed to
strong prevailing winds, such as in coastal areas
ensure that the condenser air discharge is
positioned properly by placing the unit lengthwise
along the wall, or by using a wind deflector.
In especially windy areas, use an alternative
installation position to prevent influence from the
strong breeze. If installed on a wall or roof bracket,
ensure that the bracket is of sufficient strength to
withstand the operating weight of the unit.
For wall mounted applications, the wall should be
of solid brick, concrete or the similar construction.
Appropriate reinforcement may be required to
support the unit. The connection between the
bracket and wall, and bracket and the unit should
be firm, stable and reliable.
Ensure there are no obstructions to the air inlets
or outlets.
