19.6 Replacing Batteries
19.7 Replacing Fuse
1.
Disconnect power supply to the fireplace.
2.
Ensure the fireplace is off and cool before servicing.
3.
Turn off gas supply.
4.
Remove the fireplace surround (see
Section 6.5
).
5.
Remove the battery holder from under the firebox.
6.
Replace the batteries return the battery holder.
7.
Light the fireplace to verify proper operation.
8.
Resupply power once fireplace operation has been confirmed.
9.
Replace the fireplace surround and barrier screen.
Battery Specifications:
4 x AA Batteries
1.
Disconnect power supply to the fireplace
(including backup batteries).
2.
Ensure the fireplace is off and cool before
servicing.
3.
Turn off gas supply.
4.
Remove the fireplace surround (see
Section 6.5
).
5.
Remove the fuse holder from the control board.
6.
Replace the fuse with one which has the same
specifications using the existing fuse holder.
7.
Resupply power and light the fireplace to verify
proper operation.
8.
Replace the fireplace surround and barrier screen.

19.8 Disabling CPI
If you have to disable continuous pilot ignition (CPI) for any reason,
follow the steps below:
1.
Ensure the fireplace is off and cool before servicing.
2.
Disconnect power supply to the fireplace (including
backup batteries)
.
3.
Turn off gas supply.
4.
Remove the fireplace surround (see
Section 6.5
).
5.
Pull the blue CPI wire from the insulation sleeving and cut the
wire. Protect both ends of the wire.
6.
Replace the wire fireplace surround and barrier screen.
7.
Resupply power and Light the fireplace to verify proper
operation.
CAUTION:
Label all wires prior to disconnection when servicing controls. Wiring errors can cause improper and dangerous
operation. Verify proper operation after servicing. This appliance, when installed, must be electrically grounded in accordance with
local codes or, in the absence of local codes, with the
National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, or the Canadian Electrical code,
CSA C22.1
