Warranty and liability
The PowerSupport is TNO approved in conformity with the requirements of the
European wheelchair standard EN 12184 (1999) class B.
The warranty and liability stipulations as described in the Ibis owner’s manual are
applicable to the Ibis with PowerSupport.
Contrary to the above mentioned rule, the following applies to the PowerSupport
module:
The batteries carry a two year warranty, under the following conditions:
•
Always use the Ibis with PowerSupport in conformity with the instructions in this
owner’s manual.
•
Never open the battery cover.
•
Do not use the Ibis PowerSupport at a temperature of less than -10° Celsius.
•
Do not use the Ibis PowerSupport at a temperature of more than 40° Celsius.
•
Do not charge the batteries at a surrounding temperature of less than 0° Celsius.
•
Do not charge the batteries in direct sunlight or at a surrounding temperature of
more than 40° Celsius. Note that in direct sunlight the temperature in the battery
cover can easily rise beyond this temperature.
