To install a CompactFlash card, complete these steps:
1.
Turn the AC power Off (
O
).
2.
Disconnect the AC power cord from the printer.
3.
Remove the two screws near the bottom of the electronics cover.
4.
Lift the electronics cover at the rear top corner. Pull the corner forward and up,
then lift the cover up and away from the printer.
5.
Insert the CompactFlash card into the card slot on the upper portion of the option
board. Insert the card with the back
(unlabeled) side of the card facing out. The
card can be inserted only one way and should snap into place.
The following illustration shows where to insert the CompactFlash card.

This procedure should only be performed by qualified service technicians.

Observe proper electrostatic safety precautions when handling any
static-sensitive components such as circuit boards and printheads.
