Faucet Test
Eyewash Test
WARNING Water in excess of 90°F (32.2°C) may cause damage to the eyes. Verify the water
temperature does not exceed this temperature.
Eyewash Temperature Adjustment
A
Check the water temperature when approximately 3–5 GPM water
flow is reached (equivalent to one eye wash).

Insert an Allen wrench through the hole in the cap and into the set
screw to adjust the temperature.

Consult proper medical and/or safety authorities for the optimum
temperature recommended for your particular application.

While the faucet valve is flowing normally, close the hot water inlet valve to shut off the hot water
supply. Verify the cold water is reduced. If the cold water flow is properly reduced, reopen the
hot water inlet valve. If not, refer to the Troubleshooting section for solutions.

While the eyewash valve is flowing normally, close the hot water inlet valve to shut off the hot
water supply. Verify the cold water continues to flow. If the cold water flow is flowing properly,
reopen the hot water inlet valve. If not, refer to the Troubleshooting section for solutions.
B
Close the cold water inlet valve to shut off the cold water supply. Verify the hot water flow is
reduced to less than 0.1 GPM. If the hot water flow is properly reduced, reopen the cold water
inlet valve. If not, refer to the Troubleshooting section for solutions.

Close the cold water inlet valve to shut off the cold water supply. Verify the hot water flow is
reduced to less than 0.5 GPM. If the hot water flow is properly reduced, reopen the cold water
inlet valve. If not, refer to the Troubleshooting section for solutions.
No single emergency fixture supplied by this device shall have a
minimum flow rate less than 1.5 GPM.
Verify the eyewash outlet is shut off before testing the faucet.
Verify the faucet outlet is shut off before testing the eyewash.
Test the system weekly—activate the water supply and check for constant control of the desired set
temperature.
